Ingersoll Rand has combined the power and ergonomics of pulse tools with an accurate, convenient electronic interface to create the Torque Control Pulse Tool Series - a productivity enhancement for torque-critical assembly applications. The tools provide an excellent power-to-weight ratio, as well as accurate torque repeatability and speed, with minimal noise, vibration, and torque reaction. The transducer and controller provide visible and audible cues to the operator on fastening performance, along with a full range of documentation capabilities for quality assurance.

Pistol-grip pulse tool with an integral transducer. When connected with a YETC Series Controller this system will provide a "closed loop" torque control system for accurate tightening of bolts and feedback to the operator and plant systems.

YETC-200 Series Controllers

A microprocessor based system that provides accurate torque control when combined with the torque control pulse tools. The system monitors the signals from the tool transducer and then makes decisions based on the parameters that you have programmed into the unit. The system provides a full set of visual, audible, digital and I/O outputs. Eight separate tightening strategies can be preprogrammed and select via line control or switches. The unit features strategies that help identify cross threading, double tightening and high or low torque. The controller also provides "Gang Count" and other advanced tightening strategies.
